João Vedana is a Brazilian Singer/Songwriter and Multi-instrumentalist that recently moved to The Netherlands to pursue his music career in Europe. He started studying guitar with 9 years old and since then he never stopped his development as a musician.
As the time passed by and after years of private lessons and local gigs in his hometown Lages (South of Brasil) he decided to move to São Paulo to get specialized in electric guitar at the IG&T (Institute of Guitar and Technology of São Paulo). He lived there for 4 years and worked and recorded as a sideman guitarist for various artists of different kinds of music. He also recorded and released there his first album in 2017.
Now at 2021 he lives in Utrecht and work with his solo concert and with a power trio featuring Dennis Hemstra (bass) and Cas Heim (drums). The creative process consists in blending soul music with brazilian, latin, funk, r'n b and jazz influences to create a unique sound and live performance.
